The training organized by the Project is geared for teachers in primary education (primary school and kindergarten teachers) and for those in secondary education. It aims at familiarizing them with the educational materials produced in the previous phases of the Project, with the methods for teaching Greek as a second/foreign language, and with approaches for dealing successfully with the pupils’ cultural heterogeneity.
There are two types of training provided by the Project:
(a) Voluntary, organized in cycles, each with a specific theme. This type of training is for all teachers and especially for those who teach at schools with Muslim pupils.
(b) Mandatory, structured on the basis of the needs for each of the Project’s actions. This type of training is for teachers who work at the compensatory/reinforcing actions that the Project organizes at schools.
