Ediniminde Disiplinlerarası Yaklaşımlar: Trakya'nın Azınlık Okullarındaki Uygulamalar

This book contains nine interdisciplinary ‘workplans’ that were used by the same number of teachers in the Greek-language program at Minority schools in Thrace. These workplans were formulated as a result of the training these nine teachers voluntarily participated in, during the second phase of PEM (2002-2004). The plans are practical examples of how to apply the pedagogical principles and the teaching methodology proposed by the new books and supplementary material that were produced by the Program and are taught at Minority schools. 

The workplans included in the books differ from each other with regard to their duration, the teaching material they require, but also with regard to their content. The topics they deal with are: Traveling and helping pupils get to know the place they live in (common in 5 workplans), the geometrical shapes, nutrition, sounds and musical instruments, theater and theatrical plays, and the museums. The common features of all the workplans are (a) the interdisciplinary approach the employ by using together different courses of the official Analytical Program for each grade, and (b) the active participation of pupils in the plans’ implementation. 

The workplans presented in this book are original and show how these nine teachers generally work in class. The class assignments and texts of the children were produced through a creative, interactive process that enables the mastering of knowledge. The plans, therefore, are processes for acquiring knowledge, through which the pupil is not a passive receiver but a seeker who researches, comments, proposes, and cooperates, while working within a team.
